About me

As a kid, my family moved around the country a lot because my dad was in the military. But Kirksville is the longest I’ve ever lived in one place. I went to school here; met my wife here; we were married in Faith Lutheran Church just down the road. After three years overseas, we moved back in 2005. This is our hometown. Someday it will be our kids’ hometown.

I’m on staff as web manager at Truman State University. I’m also currently the mayor. I see my time on city council as a way to give back to the community that has already given us so much.

If you have any more questions, just ask! The Kirksville city website has improved markedly since I’ve been on council, so I would encourage you to visit there first for the latest news, and also to subscribe to the many updates you can get there.

I also occasionally send out a newsletter to interested people, which you can sign up for in the upper-right corner of this page. Also be sure to check out my Facebook page. Welcome to the 21st century!
